Faith in God

When we need an opinion on a subject, we consult an expert to advise us. We trust this person to give the best advice according to his/her wisdom. Some of us may be experts who advise others. But, when God begins to work and lead our lives, He may not consider our wisdom. He may use a part of our lives where we are the weakest. In our weakness, we are reminded of His Power.


We have many examples in the Bible where the weak were chosen. In the end, their faith in God brought them victory.


Paul said to Corinthian church that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God [1 Corinthians 2:5]. Apostle Paul never used human wisdom, or persuasive words in his preaching, but he trusted in the power of the Holy Spirit to change people’s hearts.


Another example in the Bible is Gideon. Gideon was a person in the Bible whom we see in the book of Judges. In Judges 6: 12-15, we can get a glimpse of his conversation with an angel. The angel appears to him saying, ‘The Lord is with you Might warrior’.To this Gideon replies that he is from a weak clan and that he is the weakest in his family.But God used this man with low self-esteem by His power to bring victory for his country.


When we look at our own lives, we may have a history of defeats in Health, Career and School. Based on the wisdom of men we may be considered as Failures.


We just need to remember that our faith is not in the wisdom of men but in the Power of God. This power of God will fill those empty areas in our lives and make us victorious.

GOD IS ABLE

Is God able to do all things? YES! My God is Able to do all things. "God is able" emphasizes God's limitless power and ability to accomplish what seems impossible.  The apostle Paul, in his letter to the Ephesians, declares that God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine. His power knows no bounds, and He works within us to accomplish His purposes. Refer Ephesians 3:20 for it. Moses personally experienced God's Ability. When faced with the Red Sea, seemingly trapped between the water and the Egyptian army, God miraculously parted the sea, allowing the Israelites to cross safely ( Exodus 14:21-22 ). Moses saw that God was indeed able. We should be totally dependent on GOD . On our own, we can achieve very little ( John 15:5 ). The Fruit of the Spirit

The Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self- control (Galatians 5:22-23). Against such things there is no law. In Galatians 5:22, the phrase “fruit of the Spirit” refers to the Holy Spirit. The Apostle Paul states the following nine gifts that result for true repentance, turning away from our sinful towards love for God. 1. Love : "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." - John 13:34 Love is the foundation of all virtues. Treat others with selfless and sacrificial love. 2. Joy : "Rejoice in the Lord always.
