The Fruit of the Spirit
The Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self- control (Galatians 5:22-23). Against such things there is no law. In Galatians 5:22, the phrase “fruit of the Spirit” refers to the Holy Spirit. The Apostle Paul states the following nine gifts that result for true repentance, turning away from our sinful towards love for God. 1. Love : "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." - John 13:34 Love is the foundation of all virtues. Treat others with selfless and sacrificial love. 2. Joy : "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!" - Philippians 4:4 Find your joy in a relationship with God that transcends circumstances. 3. Peace : "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.
